Like you, we have watched as the recent unconscionable deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Aubrey – and countless others whose names never became a hashtag – have awakened many to the devastating impact of racism as seen through protests, civil unrest and a surge in activism all across this country.
At this pivotal point in history, we want to add our voice to the chorus of those expressing what they wish to see going forward. Our company wants to be a part of the solution rather than part of the problem. Unequivocally, we believe that the time is NOW for systemic change across the board – extending from disrupting patterns of police brutality and an unjust criminal justice system to addressing deeper reforms which seek to eradicate racism and inequities within healthcare, education, economic security, housing and other areas that will allow all people to pursue the American Dream.
As a model for our business and as evolving individuals, we must never stop striving to be better today than we were yesterday. Therefore, PDG pledges to deepen its commitment to a continuous process of improvement in terms of fairness, diversity and the amplification of voices that have been ignored or suppressed.
Certainly, we can make a difference by working together. We are resolved more than ever to do our part to relentlessly push the stubborn levers that can make tangible change occur. For we understand that we must not be content until, through the lens of equality and justice, Black Lives Matter.
