Wayne King has been an influential voice in North Carolina and national politics and government advocacy for many years. He was Vice-Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party from 2011-2013 and helped lead the efforts to elect the first North Carolina Republican governor in over twenty years, Governor Pat McCrory. Under King’s leadership, the N.C. House of Representatives and N.C. State Senate retained super majorities.
From 2013-2019, King was a senior staffer in the Office of Congressman Mark Meadows. During his tenure, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Political Advisor. Simultaneously, he served as Senior Advisor for Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. ( September 2019-December 2019), and now serves as Political Advisor to Congressman Greg Murphy's campaign.
King represents government and public affairs clients at the federal, state & local level. He regularly collaborates with other firms and colleagues to provide bipartisan expertise to clients. King is currently appointed by North Carolina State Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger to serve on the Cleveland Community College Board of Trustees. In July 2013, North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory appointed him to the Cleveland County Board of Elections and served as chairman until November 2018.
