Stephen Groves has a strong background on Capitol Hill as a Senior Advisor for U.S. Senator Doug Jones (AL) and as a Senior Aide to the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, U.S. Senator Max S. Baucus. Groves also served as a Congressional Aide to U.S. Representative Diana DeGette of Colorado, handling a portfolio of foreign affairs and national security.

Groves has extensive political campaign experience to his credit, having worked as National Advance for Hillary Clinton's 2016 Presidential Campaign; the 2012 presidential campaign for President Barack Obama; and Elizabeth Colbert-Busch for Congress in South Carolina's First Congressional District.

While serving in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, Calif., Groves traveled to over 20 countries and was deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Groves earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of San Diego.
