Kevin Harris is an entrepreneur and public affairs executive who has worked across various sectors focused on voting rights, civil rights, financial inclusion, health equity and climate justice. Kevin brings a strategic communications and government relations background with extensive experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Kevin previously served as the executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus and Director of Communications and Policy to former Congresswoman Karen Bass. He has also consulted or been a staffer on more than 100 political campaigns including the past four Presidential elections as well as served as a national spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee. Kevin held various policy and communications roles during the Obama Administration spanning the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the United States Trade Representative, Peace Corps and the White House where he served in the White House office of legislative affairs as well as supported the offices of Urban Affairs and First Lady Michelle Obama. In local government, Kevin was a cabinet member for two big city mayors including Baltimore City and Washington DC. Kevin earned his B.A. in Journalism and Political Science from Howard University and M.A. in Government and Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. Additionally he has completed executive programs in Global Business and Policy at the Yale University School of Management, the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Columbia University School of Social Work. He is currently earning a doctorate in Business Administration and Economics at Florida Atlantic University.
