Eash Haughton is a distinguished professional known for his expertise in policy development, strategic communications, issue advocacy and public affairs across local, state, and federal levels.

Previously, Eash worked at a nationally ranked public affairs firm, where he devised and implemented integrated campaigns for government agencies, nonprofits, labor unions and corporate entities with a focus on behavior change, advocacy, coalitions management, and public education.

A former legislative aide to Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson, Eash was a member of Governor Phil Murphy’s policy team and worked in the legislative affairs unit at the New Jersey’s Department of Education. Additionally, he was a policy analyst for The John S. Watson Institute for Urban Policy & Research where he worked with the New Jersey Legislative Black Caucus and the Urban Mayors Association.

Active in his community, Eash holds positions in several civic and professional organizations. He is a member of the Mercer County Community College Board of Trustees, the Ewing Environmental Commission, and the Trenton Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He also serves as the Black Caucus Vice Chair for the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, the Executive Vice President for New Jersey Young Democrats and a member of the Mercer Democratic County Committee.

Eash received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The College of New Jersey and his Master of Public Policy from Rutgers University. He was chosen as a 2021 Eagleton Graduate Fellow, a ‘2023 Rising Star’ by the Mercer County Democratic Committee, a 2024 New Leaders Council Fellow and a District Delegate to the DNC national convention for the 2024 Harris-Walz presidential campaign. Eash has also been named to Insider NJ’s Top 100 Lobbyist List 2024.
