Peter Damon Group Names Glenn Rushing New Managing Director

(January 13, 2020) --- The Washington, D.C.-based Peter Damon Group (PDG) is pleased to announce that veteran government and political strategist Glenn Rushing has joined the firm as Managing Director, Senior Vice President for Federal Government Affairs.

Rushing has over thirty years of experience working in both government and politics at various levels. He most recently served for ten years as the Chief of Staff for U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX). Further career experiences include having served as the Southern Deputy Political Director for the 2008 Hillary for President Campaign, Deputy Political Director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), and as the National Field Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).

Prior to his work at the DCCC, Rushing was Chief of Staff to former U.S. Congressman Ronnie Shows (D-MS). In his career, Rushing has served on over twenty political campaigns in the roles of Manager, Field Director and Field Coordinator for a variety of candidates, including the 1992 and 1996 elections of President Bill Clinton. He additionally has held various capacities working for the Governor’s Office in Mississippi, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the City of Jackson (Mississippi).
